I've come across a client that wants to do weird things with his setup. Basically he has a computer at work that uses a modem (on comm2) that uses a leased line to his companies wide area network. He wants to use his home computer to link to the network but there are no dial-up connections. So he wants to dial up his work computer which will then in turn link up to the WAN. I'm not sure about the best way of going about this. He has a modem at home, two modems at work and Laplink for Windows so I think it may just be possible to use the remote link option on Laplink at home to connect to the WAN via his work computer. What is the best way of connecting two modems to one computer? Do I have to be careful which com ports I use (I know not to use the same IRQ as the mouse)? Is it possible to use both modems concurrently? Will Laplink allow this? TIA. /------------------------------------------\ | Dale Walker dale@virus.com, | | http://www.gold.net/users/ge75/dale.html | \------------------------------------------/
