Modem networking help needed. Okay- Here is the question.

At work we are running on Novell 3.12 with 7 users.
We want to know the easiest way to be able to hookup
2 Fax-Modems and have one of them dedicated to only
modeming and the other one be able to do both modeming
and faxing. Basically we want to have the one modem
sit there and wait for someone to call up and download
the latest version of our software using a password.
The other modem we want to be able to have any one of
the 7 users be able to send a fax or modem something
from their computer. The modem needs to be able to
switch or quit the faxing to do modeming and vice-versa.
We have a 386-25 that can be dedicated for this use.
Delrina has a product for Network usage that sells
for around $600 for a 5 user pack that sounds like it
may work. I am looking for other or better options of
handling this. Maybe even something like using voice
mailboxes for faxes. We also want to be able to change
a password or do something to allow only the one customer to
download our software update and no one else that may
call on the same day or time (ie..customer gives the password
to his friend) Something unique or difficult to get
around. I assume that since I don't need a mouse on the
server I can use comm-1 for one modem and comm-2 for the
other modem. What other types of comm board add-on solutions
are there? We also have previously setup Windows 4 Workgroups
to some degree that allowed different users to fax from
there desktop, but we want more flexability and options
than is built-in to WFWG.
Please include both hardware and software solutions that you
have tried or know of that will work.

Would appreciate both newsgroup post and e-mail.

Thank you for all help in advance. Ron magicmk@val.net
