: The question is: I have an US Robotics Courier Dual Standard 14.4,
: with the serial # 0001883000837857, that I'm willing to upgrade to
: use the v34 and v34+ protocols. By any chance, is there someone out
: there whose modem has a serial number close to this one, and who
: already upgraded swaping daughterboards ? I would like to know if
: the daughterboard that I need is the USR part # 000953-0.

From what I remember, you must have a "v.small" modem to perform a
daughterboard upgrade to v.34. By "v.small," I mean the new small
footprint couriers -- the 16.8's and above. That is to say that you
cannot perform a daughterboard upgrade, you'll have to go with an exchange.

(This information is from memory, I wanted to do the same thing with my
14.4 DS a few months ago and this is the response I received.)
