I bought a Acer-Open AP43 486DX4 120mhz PCI (Cyrix CPU) motherboard two
months ago. The AP-43 uses the SiS chipset. It worked fine until last
week when I started to have problems when using the modem and
communications programs. I am using Windows95. Using the default drivers
that came with Windows95.

I get missing characters and scrambled text & ANSI characters, download
errors. I ruled out the modem as the problem because I have tried two
externals and I get the same problem and they work fine on my other
computer. I tried using both DOS comunication programs(QModem & Lync) and
Win95 programs(QModemWIN95). None of the communication programs work.

Anyone have an ideal what this problem might be? Is there any new drivers
Acer/SiS drivers for this Motherboard and Win95? I can't seem to find a
Acer WWW Page. Anyone know the address if one exists? Any help would be
greatly appriciated. Thanks
