About 2 years ago I purchased a 486DX2 66 MHz system (8MB RAM, 400 MB hard disk, etc.) from Midwest Micro for home use. By now, the disk has very little room left and I could use additional memory as well. So I opened up the case, saw that there is extra cable and power supply for another hard disk. However, I was surprised to find ONLY TWO 72 pin slots for SIMMs. Both the slots have 4MB boards. How can I upgrade from 8MB to 16MB, without, in effect, wasting my current two SIMMs? Should my PC's mother board have come with 4 slots? Right next to the 72 pin slots, there are 4 more 30 pin slots. Can I fill 2 of these slots with 4MB modules? In other words, can I use 30 pin and 72 pin memory at the same time? Thanks a lot. --raj (raj@goliath.Stanford.EDU) -- -- Rajesh Kumar Singh E-mail: raj@goliath.stanford.edu Gauls! We have nothing to fear; except perhaps that the sky may fall on our heads tomorrow. But as we all know, tomorrow never comes!!
