To admit I have never tried on PC hardware, but it worked well
everywhere else. Radio (on inside electronics), speakers (on coils), all
of the electrical installation (ok, not all wires), floppy drive,
computer power supply fan, CPU cooling complex, PC box, keyboard
(between buttons), any non-organic moving parts that you can find at my
place, all of the
car's components worth spraying, etc.

What is a "lubricant"? Sorry I'm not a native speaker of english.

Anyway, WD-40 was designed for protecting and repairing whatever
electronics that was supposed to ever float in space. I find it works
quite well on earth too.

I said it protects from dust; it dosen't even need to repel anything
(atho it does repel water). And it dosen't attract a thing once it has
dried out, that's when there is a nice little layer of plastic in place
of it.
