I have an ASUS V6800 Deluxe video card which uses the Nvidea GeForce
256 DDR graphics processor. It came with a fan on the processor which
has almost died. Does it really need the fan or could I substitute a
heat sink?

If I need the fan, where could I buy one? I have found a matching fan
but it came with a "standard" motherboard 3 wire connector whereas the
original has a much smaller 3 pin connector on the graphic card
itself.
