You could buy a case from Micron or Dell, probably. Or you could call
tech support and ask who the OEM is. Tech support is usually more
forthcoming with this info than sales. Or, try sales and tell them you
are thinking of buying a dozen computers but the quality of the case is
very important... blah, blah, blah... They ought to tell you. When I
bought my system I made them tell me who made the "Dell" Monitor, and who
manufactured the disk drives and hard drive, and BIOS chip, mouse, etc.
Some OEM stuff is great, some is crap. For instance, I would never buy a
computer that came in an all plastic case. And I would never buy a
system that came with a CTX monitor, whether it said Dell or Gateway or
Zeos or Micron on it, (CTX monitors have always died an early death in my
experience.) I have found that manufacturers who are hesistant to tell
you who the OEM is are usually buying cheap crap and they don't want you
to know. I don't mind if they tell me the hard drive will be either
Western Digital or Seagate. But I don't want some no name piece of crap
from some fly by night company. So, they could probably tell you exactly
where the cases come from. And it might be easier to buy ONE from Dell
or Micron, than ONE from the OEM who deals in thousands. Or maybe not.

Good luck.
