 Sorry, BT-747S is compabible with AHA-1542. not AHA-1742.

 Sorry, The Firmware & BIOS  Ver 3.35 & 4.50 is working well with NeXTSTEP 
 Ver 3.2 with AHA-1542 driver, if you choose 3.37 & 4.70, SCSI Bus will report
 SCSI Time-out when probe the SCSI devices. So, I say that BusLogic BT-747S is 
 compatible with AHA-1742A, but its firmware and BIOS should be the Ver 3.35 & 
 4.50.
