After successfully installing the AWE64 Value and getting things to play properly, I decided to test the recording facilities and see if the Full Duplex mode was infact working. On my old Vibra16 card, it was half duplex, however with the Windows 98 drivers, it had Microphone Gain Control. Now, that option is not available to me and the microphone records VERY low with lots of static and no gain control what so ever (with the AWE64 Value installed). The microphone volume is set to maximum, and I try to record while recording only. If anyone can shed any light as to how this situation can be remedied, I would appreciate it. -- [kyushu17@hotmail.com]
