Is this the one with the red (or brown) A5 sized, 3 chapter, 28 page
manual with a little '48' and a huge '6' ?
Never heard of it !
Seriously though, J2 shorted across pins 3 & 4 will clear CMOS if it is
the one I have the manual for. The way I normally do it is:
1 - short pins 3-4
2 - turn the power on for 10 secs
3 - turn power back off
4 - return the jumper to its default setting for internal battery
across pins 2&3
I believe there is also another slight possibility of a problem, there
are two versions of the AMD DX4, a normal one and an enhanced one.
The enhanced one will only allow booting from a floppy with the internal
cache turned off and can cause other assorted floppy disk problems.
Turn off the cache and they run like Amstrad PC's but never give a
moment's problem, turn it on and if you never use floppy disks you
might not notice a problem.
