I am certainly no expert of graphics cards, but I have very recently
bought one for myself. I spent ages asking questions and going through
magazines to see what was available and how good they were, etc.. I
recommend getting the December issue of "PC Magazine" because it has a
review on 64 bit graphics cards. You mentioned the Diamond Stealth DRAM
in your posting-That has got a good review as far as value for money
goes. It hasn't got the best features, but then you won't get that
unless you get VRAM. I think the DRAM (2MB version) costs about 130 UKP.
Like yourself, I had a tight budget, but because I can never resist the
best, I splashed out 240 UKP for a STB Velocity 64 Video. I then found
out that my monitor can't take the pace, so that's a new monitor on my
Christmas list!

Good luck,

Geoff.
