On some motherboards (this used to be the case, don't know if it will apply here), there is a three-pin jumper next to the battery. The jumper will be attached to one pair of pins (can't remember which....doesn't really matter anyhow). What you do is to change the setting on this jumper.....so if it was jumpered 1-2, you set it to 2-3 and vice versa. Leave it there for about 5 seconds and then put it back in its original position. This has the effect of wiping the BIOS clean so you can start again. Okay, it's a nuisance to set up the entire system again, but modern Ami's are dead simple to set up anyway :) The nice thing is, of course, that it _also_ resets the password on the BIOS. You won't need it to get into the BIOS setup to get the machine going again, but the default password is AMI. Hope this helps Regards Francis -- ============================================================================== || Francis Solomon: francis@blak.demon.co.uk / francis@cmlmicro.demon.co.uk || || All the above is true, for sufficiently false values of true. || ==============Hi!
