Recently I have some major problems,

My computer crashes lately a lot,
I already had some warnings about "CMOS ERROR" and "HARDDISK FAILIURE"
sometimes it doesnt even recognise my harddisk and acts like
"insert system disk or disk error "
it even crashes sometimes with a bootdisk in drive A

It only fails every3 or 4 times and after a while windows stops
responding and when I use a soft boot CTRL-ALT-DEL the computer
crashes again 2 or 3 times , then it reboots like nothing ever happned

Is it a problem with my harddisk , with the battery of my motherboard
or maybe my memorychips (because windows crashes after a while )
oris it the motherboard itself ?

How do I know what is wrong ??

I guess you've answered your quetion yourself.
I personally think the cause of your problem is the CMOS battery.
Windows uses the BIOS to obtain HDD info and when your battery is low -or
even malfunctioning-
Windows could crash while working with it. To check the battery status,
power on your PC, setup the
BIOS correctly and then power down your computer. Leave it off for a few
hours (or days), then power on again, enter the BIOS and check the
settings.
If the settings are set back to factory defaults, then you know the
batteries are dead.
Try replacing the battery with good ones!

Good luck!
