The last time (well, hopefully the last time :) I worked on an Arcnet network it was to solve almost exactly the same problem. The problem, after many hours of testing, was a faulty NIC in one of the PC's. The thing that really threw me was that every day the problem was solved! and everyone went home happy. What actually was happening was the person working on the failing station was going home and turning the computer off :) Good luck... and consider Ethernet. Should only cost about $400 (max) to implement for 4 stations. +--------------------------------------------------------+ | Daryl Banttari, CNE: banttari@ix.netcom.com | | Independent Consultant (unless you have a better deal) | | All statements are just my opinion, don't come | | after me if something goes horribly wrong... | +--------------------------------------------------------+
