I am not sure that Linux/unix is the right OS for a homework club, It would mean lots of work for me to learn.... This however is what I wanted to do, ie run the apps etc from a "server" and have the 486s as little more than terminals. How do people go about running networks with diskless or very small HDD machines? I bought some machines from auction not long ago they had 50 MB HDDs, and had been networked together, running windows. How could they have run say MS Office on this kit? -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- XXXXXXXXXX-------Sparrow (Spug) in London UK.--------XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX xxxxxxxxxx---Remove "banspam" from address to reply----xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
