Warp, NT, PCI Fast Etherlink and Adaptec 2940 conflicts in Gateway?

Excuse the crossposting, but I am trying to get Warp Connect to work in the
following system:
From Gateway I got:
Gateway P5-100XL
Adaptec 2940 (PCI SCSI card) with HP hard drive
No IDE hard disk
Mitsumi 4X CD-Rom
And I added a:
3Com Fast Etherlink 3c595-TX (PCI Ethernet card).
The combination works without problems under NT, but OS/2 Warp Connect
(including very last FixPack) refuses to recognize it. This has been
frustrating with both IBM people ("the network card is very new"), and Gateway
("the card is very new", "you did not buy it from us"). Forget about Adaptec or
3Com.
So, I do have Warp Connect installed (minus the connect, because then it dies).
If I install the Connect part, after the first rebooting I see several things
being loaded by Warp, and then it says "Ethernet card found at PCI slot # 15,
IRQ 10" or something like that, and then it stays there forever and ever. The
only way out is the reset button or Off/On.
Is there a trick in either or several of the following?
- Computer setup parameters
- SCSI adapter setup
- Network driver parameters (no 3Com documentation is available for the OS/2
driver)
- SCSI adapter driver parameters.
Any help will be appreciated. If I get results, I will post them free and sell
them to Gateway.
Hopefully,
Domingo.
