G'day Currently I am using an adsl modem, router and hp ethernet hub with 2 xp computers and 2 win98 computers all running fine, sharing the net etc. Problem is my network (letmark4039) printer is no where to be found does anyone know what I need to do to find it on the network? My network ip ranges 192.168.1.(1-254) with subnet 255.255.255.0 When I print the network setup page from the printer it gives me the following... IP Address: 10.129.35.151 IP Netmask: 255.255.240.0 IP Gateway: 10.129.35.240 Would I need to setup a bridge in my router and if so does anyone have any suggestions? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Jason

You need to configure IP on your printer so that it's in the same network as your computers (192.168.1.x/255.255.255.0) "Jason" <lostsoul1972@dodo.com.au> wrote in message news:3EE880F1.1030900@dodo.com.au... > G'day > > Currently I am using an adsl modem, router and hp ethernet hub with 2 xp > computers and 2 win98 computers all running fine, sharing the net etc. > Problem is my network (letmark4039) printer is no where to be found does > anyone know what I need to do to find it on the network? > > My network ip ranges 192.168.1.(1-254) with subnet 255.255.255.0 > > When I print the network setup page from the printer it gives me the > following... > > IP Address: 10.129.35.151 > IP Netmask: 255.255.240.0 > IP Gateway: 10.129.35.240 > > Would I need to setup a bridge in my router and if so does anyone have > any suggestions? As far as I was aware that was hardware set I actually thought I may have had to set up a bridge in my router. If the printer can be changed then that would be the easiest. The printer is a Lezmark 4039 10 plus. I have to admit that it's been a while since I set up a Lexmark network printer but I believe that Lexmark has a free utility for adding their printers to a network. A second choice would be to add a printer from one of the XP machines and direct it to that address and then share it. HIH, Dave H.
