Netware 4.1 server setup

I am going to be setting up a Netware 4.1 network in my house for CNE
study. I would like to use my main computer as both a stand alone and a
server. I assume I would have do do some kind of setup allowing me to
select an os at boot. I will be running Win95 when I want to use my
computer as a stand alone. I will have a 1.2GB and a 1.0GB and I would
like to partition the second HDD into two and run Netware 4.1 on one of
those partitions. What would be the max size to use for the Netware
partition and how exactly would I configure this?

I also have the option of just making my main PC a client and using my
other pentium as the server if the previous setup is too complex or
would cause problems.

Would being connected to a server degrade my performance at all?

Thanks to all who reply...
