D-Link Network card and game lock-ups

We are using 4 D-Link DFE-530TX 10-100Mb network cards and I have a
DFE916X 10/100Mb hub. Other 10Mb PCMCIA cards are also connected to the
hub.

3 machines that have the D-Link cards work fine, but one in a P120
always locks up when playing Red Alert (non networked) whenever the hub
is switched on.

I was using Win95 OSR2 on the P120, and have now upgraded to Win98, but
the lock-ups continue. I have compared the configuration of the PC with
another (AMD-233) and the network settings are identical.

I (or our little lad) also get the lock-ups playing South Park networked
too. Can anyone offer any tips please?

Possible choices are Faulty cable, Faulty network card, If you are running a
Matrox video card try moving it to a different slot and resetting the PnP
config in the bios (This fixed my problem)

I'm checking these things out at the moment by swapping over RJ45 cables
and cards, as I have a spare. Should know the results in a week.

Thanks
