} Busmastering EIDE levels that playing field.

They most certainly do not. Busmastering IDE is a bloody joke--
it causes more problems than it solves for a large number of users,
and they don't address most of the other advantages that SCSI has
over IDE.

The newsgroups are filled with stories of problems related to these
damn drivers, and most people see no real-world improvement with them
anyway.
