I had the same problem on my P90 until I upgraded to version 2.0 . Also check your bus speed. I found that everything but the tape backup functioned perfectly on another machine that kept giving DMA errors, so that I could restore, but not backup. I made sure the ISA bus was running at 8 Mhz max, and the tape drive worked fine. The hard drive and floppies worked fine at 11 Mhz, but the tape backup was more sensitive to ISA bus speed. ( Regardless of whether the tape was on the floppy connector or a tape accelerator card ) Good luck.
