Benchmarks that I have run with Symantec's Disk Performance Analyzer, that comes
with Speedcache+, have been slightly better with Ontrack's ONTRACKW.386 FastDisk
driver compared to Western Digital's WDCDVR.386 driver. My benchmarks with
WDCDVR.386 were run before installing Ontack Disk Manager. WDCDVR.386 is not
compatible Ontrack Disk Manager on my system. The Ontrack driver has been about
10% faster for throughput and database simulation. I got similar results using
Core's throughput benchmark program.
