I was quoting real prices 19.95 avaiable via some stores, mail order, and
directly from syquest. The 3 packs are available from sysquest directly
and from one mail order source that I can't think of currently. I was
mentioning it because you claimed you had to order 10 to get that price which
is not the case. Zips at 15 per cartridge, used in your calculation) do
require 10 quanity. The minimum quanity on zips is 3 anywhere I look and
that price is $50 bucks which is certainly more that $15 per disk.

Actually you originally said your point was zip was cheaper. Which is
not the case.

Yes, I was quoting unformatted capacity. But the zip at 100 is also
unformatted. Your 127M should be 127 x 1024 x 1024 to get the total
capacity. I get 128Meg by the way. If I format as a large floppy (os2
option but then readable on either os2 or dos) I get more. I think the
partitioning takes some space. If you format fat then you would actually
lose space if you formatted one partition at greater than 128 Meg since
the fat tables would waste more space. My point was that 25% capacity
used by Maxwell was a bogus number leading to a pricing advantage for zip
which is currently not the case.
