This API exists on NT only, and to use it, you'll need a NT driver for the streamer in question. A more portable way (since it will work on both Win95 and Windows NT) is using adaptec's ASPI for Win32. It is included with Win95 and can be obtained vie ftp from ftp.adaptec.com as an add-on for NT. The documentation for it can be found on the same place and is included in the Win95 DDK. ASPI for Win32 is closely related to ASPI for Windows; just a few changes were made and so it's a good opportunity to port these old 16-bit backup programs to _both_ NT and Win95. (Hey, Central Point, hey, Symantec, did you hear that?!) I did some testing with this interface and it seems to be quite useable.
