I just ordered an internal SCSI Jaz from computability. Does anyone know whether this drive will work reliably with the SCSI port on a Proaudio Spectrum 16? I've read that the SCSI port on that card is NOT a complete implementation of SCSI. It's merely for sound card only! I don't mind buying myself an ISA SCSI card, but only if my sound card's SCSI port isn't a reliable mean of connecting the Jaz drive. If I am going for a new SCSI card (ISA only), which should I buy for compatability/reliability/ease of use??? I am going to hook my 4Plex CD-ROM and Jaz to it. It doesn't have to be super duper fast, but it has to be compatible with DOS6.22/Win3.1, Win95, OS/2, and Linux. It should be flexible as well, because I got a wavetable synthesiser(sp?) -- TurtleBeach Maui --. I read from it's documentation that some GMIDI games requires 330h, and I believe most SCSI adapter also use this address. It'll be damn nice if that address is user configurable. Thank you for reading thru the whole thing, and any comment/suggestions that you can provide me with.
