Hello all,

I am considering purchasing a new harddisk and need some advice on this.
The machine I am running was bought in Dec '93 with a generic VL bus IDE
controller. The new drive will be the master drive with a Maxtor 7546AT
slave. I am running MS-DOS and Linux at the moment with Windows NT or
OS/2 a future possibility. The drives I am considering are WDAC31000,
WDAC31200 or WDAC31600 if I can find one.

So, if I purchase one of the drives above, would I be able to use it
with the described equipments and OS? Do I need a new EIDE controller or a
BIOS upgrade? Any advice is appreciated.

Rgds,

Ben.
