As has been posted several times in other newsgroups, the news on Zip
drive availability in Oz is REALLY BAD!!! Sourceware advised several
weeks ago that Iomega has postponed arrival of the first shipment until
about OCTOBER. This is part of Iomega's policy of attempting to satisfy
the US order backlog first, before meeting export commitments.

SyQuest's EZ135 is supposed to arrive by earlt August, but it still hasn't
hit the streets in USA, so we will have to wait and see. Syquest prices
will be substantially higher than Zip, rrp $395 for the IDE internal
version and $495 for the SCSI external version. 135 MB cartridges have a
rrp of $38.
