Configuring MFM/ST-506 Drives

I'm having a bit of trouble setting up various drives as primary
and secondary drives on a MFM controller.

What/where/how is a terminating resistor on an ST-506/MFM drive?
What does it look like, and where does it go?

Also, I need a source for locating jumper settings for:

Fujitsu M2243AS
Hitachi DK511-8
Maxtor XT-1140

As, I'm confused when configuring various combinations of primary
and secondary drives in a friend's 286 I'm trying to upgrade for
them. This seems very different to setting IDE drives. I know the
drives and the PC is ancient technology, but they doesn't have the money
for a new machine and the drives are very cheap.

Thanks for any help.
