Hi,

I've had experience with 2 drives, the Philips Omniwriter 26a and the
Hewlett Packard internal model (the older one, i can't rember the model)
The philips omniwriter was a pain to install, it took about 3 bios
downloads, and the software that came with it was crap. It ruined about 4
CD-r's and when i copied an audio cd, it cut off the last 2 seconds of each
song.

The Hewlett-packard, on the other hand, cost a LOT less, had a great
software bundle, was easy to install, worked the first time, but i haven't
gotten to try to copy a music cd yet. If i were to buy a cd-rw, i would
definatly choose the hewlett-packard.

Sincerly,
Brian
