Digital audio ripped from CDs or recorded from line-in? The former is caused by problems with your CD drive. Data corruption on the hard drive would show up as much more than just sound problems (run scandisk). "Doc" <docsavage20@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:f0c1bc20.0303300917.6d9f0cf0@posting.google.com... | I have an Audigy soundcard that's been giving me problems with popping | sounds showing up in wav files once they've been saved. | | Running Win98 (1st ed), IBM PL300 450mhz PIII. | | After trying a number of other fixes, I've since noticed that the 1 | gig Seagate 2nd hard drive I installed which I use as my primary drive | for digital audio is FAT 16, whereas the C drive is FAT 32. I tried to | convert the 2nd drive to FAT32 but it won't take for some reason. | Keeps saying "partition not found". The drive is currently just 1 big | partition. | | If the 2 drives are not the same FAT system, could that cause | corruption of files when saving? |
