Startup error on IBM Aptiva ... help neede.

I have a IBM Aptiva P100. I recently installed a 8X Vuego CD-reader. The CD-reader is working perfectly, but each time the computer when the computer starts up I get following error: ----------------------------------------- POST startup Error(s) The following error(s) were detected when system was started: 1762 Configuration change has occured 162 Configuration change has occured Select on eof the following: continue exit ---------------------------------------------- When I choose exit, WIn'95 starts up and everything seems to work well. When I choose continue and take a look at the configuration setup utility, there is no conflict indicated. I really would appreciate if anyone could help me with this. THANKS N.

Your system is working fine, and it will not show you "errors" when you continue into the BIOS setings. You need to go into the BIOS and let it save what it has detected on your motherboard.

I had a friend who installed a new hard drive on his IBM Aptiva. He had errors come up, but when I saved the bios configuration, it worked fine.
