Need info/help with a TriGem GemNote SX386NP!

Greetings all.

I recently acquired a TriGem GemNote SX386NP for a cut-throat
price. The reason, obviously, was that it may or may not have
been in top working condition. But, so goes the life of bargain
shoppers, and computer swappers.

Basically, the only distinguishing markings on this unit are the
name and model number listed above. If anyone out there owns one
of these, I'd love to hear from you and ask you some questions
about the unit.

I can't seem to determine what the problem is with the unit. But,
basically, it will not power on. The AC and Pwr lights, as well
as the screen, will flicker when the power button is pushed, but
nothing seems to want to 'Go'.

So, if worse comes to worst, I'd like to perhaps contact the OEM
or TriGem, and see about getting the unit repaired.

So, if anyone also has any recommendations for a thirdparty place
that is technically capable of letting me know what they think
is wrong with it, I'd be open to that as well. I'm physically
located in the SF Bay Area, Santa Cruz specifically, so the
establishment would ideally be in that region.

All tips and help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks much.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.
