Hi,

I want to buy a CD writable, but before I do that, I've got two
questions ?
1) Is there an differende between an external or internal CDW looking at
quality ?
2) Which is the best (Philips, Mitsumi etc. ) ?

Thanks in advance,
Thomas de Konink

Aside from saving money, I prefer my external. And I've a reason. Having
lost two regular read-only CD units through possible heavy data useage,
copying CDs for burning my own archives, regular wear and tear, for whatever
reason, they simply failed. While my external burner sits isolated for
burns only, which amounts to one ioata of total system time I feel an
internal more would accumulate powered, yet unused;--for an end result,
which I subscribe to, that anything mechanical (lens, platter, and tray
assembly movements) will [sic, for the lessor time] occupy in a diminitive
dominion tyranized by Murphy's Law. 'All's well is simply a measure of
ascertaining that at any given moment another impending catastrophy will
occur.' Or perhaps I'm thinking of Weiner's early work on computer logic
and Chaos Theory.

Hello,

Both internal and external has the same quality.

I prefer Yahama, but I also heard that Plextor is nice too.
