What I meant is that to clock either the 2000 or 3000 up to 180 mhz you're gonna need a fan. So that 5-10 bucks is equal in both cases if you're overclocking, therefore it's not like, well to clock the 2000 high it's a few bucks more for the fan, therefore the difference is even less than $20.... what I'm saying is that the price difference stays the same if we're talking on an overclocked basis.. the fan is needed by both. >Also If it runs as hot as the 3000 the 2000's heatsink isn't going to >cut it and I'm sure you'll see lots of lockups. 1. Umm, have you actually run the 2000? 2. Almost every review and response has indicated that the V3-2000's are 99% percent overclockable to 166 reliably even without a fan. You've already stepped up to 3000 level performance right there. With a fan you can reliably go to 175 in most cases. Some will go to 180 like mine, but that's the exception. >>have a monitor capable of 75/85hz at stuff above 1024x1280 or even >>lower. But for many folks the pack-ins (esp. ones as fresh as these) are worth it. For others they're no big deal, too many games to play already. Esp if you are a bad boy and hit up the binaries newsgroups.
