I wanted to update my Viper 330 and MII voodoo2 drivers. I went from diamond's 124a drivers to the most current 128a & IN Control Tools 98. After installing Diamonds .128a drivers & In Control Tools 98 1. MS Works 4.0a has (word processor) strange appearence. Text & graphics no longer views appropriately, very weird, under view > page layout (default & I prefer). If you go to view > normal it seems ok. 2. Ms Publisher for Windows 95, the page layout lines red & blue (margins) are no longer there. 3. Deer Hunter no longer works, just locks up. Now my only recourse is to remove the diamond 128a and in control tools 98 and go with the most current nVida reference driver 2.77. But before I do . . . . Is anyone using a Viper 330 with 2.77 ref drivers and a Diamond Voodoo2 with any of the diamond 200, 201, 203 drivers? Any conflicts with any programs or hardware stuff? I would appreciate any info or experiences. Many thanks System stats: Viper 330 (4meg) using .128a drivers and Diamond Voodoo2 (diamond original .200 drivers.) Win95B (4.00.950b) with USB, P2-266, DirectX5 (4.05.00.0155) DFI 440LX (P2XLX rev A+) motherboard, 64 meg, Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 87TXM monitor (I am using the 87TXM inf file for my settings), atapi internal zip, SB 64 awe, cdrom and USR X2 voice modem.
