Anyone else cancel their Voodoo3 orders in favor of TNT2?

After reading several early reviews of the pre-production Diamond V770, including the one from Tom's hardware guide and CNET, I have finally decided to cancel on my order (which I have had in a queue for almost 2 months now) from Electronics Boutique (EBWORLD). If the reviews with the beta boards and drivers are on target, and I beleive that they are, then NVidia has really one-upped 3DFX with their TNT2. Solid 2D performace, Voodoo2 SLI-level 3D perfomance in 16 bit color, as well as fast 32- bit 3D support and MPEG acceleration as well. I'm sorry, but as much as I love 3DFX and my voodoo2 SLI, after reading this and current benchmarks against the Voodoo3 3000, I just had to jump ship this time. When 3DFX gets its act together and decides to get aggressive with its chip designs instead of resting on their laurels, I'll be happy to buy and recommend another 3DFX product again. This time, my dollars go to NVidia and Diamond. Anyone else cancel their boards from reading the recent reviews? I am considering to cancel my V3 3500 order but I am gonna wait till both products are actually shipping. Right now they are both vaporware and the specs can change at any minute, which they have changed in the past. I don't believe what Tom's hardware guide has to say cause he is not as knowledgeable as he thinks he is, he is to biased towards certain products, and his methods of testing are all not that great. After both products do ship I may end up with the TNT2 and keep my V2 SLI too. Hopefully 3Dfx will have a better card out before 2000. -- Angelo * Remove -spamsucks- to reply by e-mail * perlow@technologist.com wrote in message <7cm6kp$iaq$1@nnrp1.dejanews.com>... >After reading several early reviews of the pre-production Diamond V770, >including the one from Tom's hardware guide and CNET, I have finally decided >to cancel on my order (which I have had in a queue for almost 2 months now) >from Electronics Boutique (EBWORLD). > >If the reviews with the beta boards and drivers are on target, and I beleive >that they are, then NVidia has really one-upped 3DFX with their TNT2.
