I gave a similar problem. In fact I have problems formating
sometimes as well. The problems seem to come and go without any
warnings or indicationof prior or other symptoms.(and dissappear as
quickly). It is quite frustrating. The A drive (5 1/4") does not
seem to share the problem. Why not? In fact, WHAT is the problem.
By the way, I have a Core Tape Light on the same ribbon cable as
the two floppies, and it seems to be OK.
Can anyone explain how you can have three devices where only two
should live? I know it works, but don't understand why?
Thank you very much for the help.
