I purchased a 5422 some time ago. It's "semi-accelerated", ie. it has
hardware mouse cursor and some bitblt functions, and I think it has some
cached components. Not a true accelerator, since it incorporates only a
subset of the accelerator functions. However, it is clearly faster than
any plain Tseng 4000-based card - both in DOS and Windows. A good buy,
especially considering that it cost less than any available Tseng model
(in my case at least). Oh, and 5422 is TrueColor. Drivers exist for OS/2
also; but not, to my knowledge, for Linux/Xfree.
