problems with wd90c31

I have problems running wpwin5.1 with the wd90c31 svga adapter in
my gateway 2000 4dx/33.

Once I start the wpwin5.1, I keep getting a message:

general protection fault in module mmwd768.drv at 0001:251f.

and then I have to reboot the machine to get out of it.

I have called gateway technical support, but they can not help me at all.

Is anybody else having this problem ??

I would really appreciate if somebody could give me a hand on this problem.

Also, does anybody know the phone # of the Western Digital Imaging Corp. ??
