Hi Joel, We have had a hard disk that stopped running from time to time, and we could hear it start spinning again after a few seconds. This happened in a very irregular and unpredictable manner, which I heard later is usually the sign of a power supply failure. Before changing the power supply we tried it with another HD, checked the power saving options in SETUP (all turned off), changed the mother board and the HD controller. None of these helped, but fortunately it cost us nothing as the PC was still under guarantee. So if your problems arise in an unpredictable manner, there's a good chance that you have a power supply problem (loose contact, overheating?) Good luck Joel McClure wrote: > > The other day the power cut off in my home for about a second and then > came back on.
