Hello, I'm looking for some advice about VLB graphics cards...I'm looking to spend around 200pounds. The ones that seem interesting so far are: Orchid Celcius Diamond Viper Diamond Stealth 32 Diamond Stealth Pro I'd like to see how the above compare, or other cards that compete. Obviously due to cost, I'd only be able to get the 1MB Viper, but I read in a magazine that the Celcius was better + you get 2MB for the price of the 1MB Viper...??! I want a card that is shit fast under both DOS and Windows, and will also work with UNIX/XWindows...24bit at 800x600 would be nice, but as long as 256 at 1024x768 is fast I'll be happy... Apart from being fast, I'm keen to know about chipsets and compatibility. At present I've got an ET4000 which always seems to be supported; the Stealth 32 uses the TSENG chipset...what about the others? I know the Viper uses the P9000, so what is support for this card like?? Any info on the above would be great! Paul. EMail: pjr@oasis.icl.co.uk
