Hi, I have a 386 33Mhz IBM PC clone. It had 4MB RAM (4 x 1MB 80ns SIMM's). I added another 4MB RAM this time 70ns (again 4 x 1MB 70ns SIMM's). My PC now runs slower. Especially at boot, the memory check is at least 5-6 folds slower. It is also slower under DOS and Windows. In one of the Internet postings I had read something about different speed SIMM's on the same motherboard causing slow down, but I do not remember what was the proposed solution to bring the speed to normal. If you know the solution, could you please either post here or e-mail to me (I prefer e-mail). Thanks, Halil Ozmen halil@ittpub.nl
