Matthew Trump writes, re a Compaq whose BIOS may not be able to read 3.5" HD floppies: "Could he not [replace his FDD with a 1.44MB 3.5" unit and] use Driver.sys or Drivparm in his config.sys?" So you have a machine which can _BOOT_ from its hard disc but not from a floppy... What happens when the hard disc doesn't start up (maybe from the CMOS getting corrupt, dead battery etc.)? A better solution is to make up a 1.2MByte 3.5" floppy with the format of a 5.25" HD floppy to use as boot disc. But it's still strict Mickey Mouse territory... Best wishes, -- Michael Salem
