 Andreas,

I've been thinking about the ZIP drive too. It has a great reputation and
support. If you use a service bureau to print your material ZIP is one of the
standard formats. Reliability is supposed to be excellent.

Downsides:
Capacity - 100MB isn't that big these days. This is the main thing that has
kept me from buying. I figure I need at least a 230MB drive and even
IOMEGA has its JAZ drive with 1GB and 540MB disks.

Performance: ZIP performs closer to the speed of a floppy than a hard disk.

If the capacity meets your requirements - you probably can't do better.
According to one review I read its more reliable than the most direct
competitor - the Syquest 135.

Hope this is of help.

Jim F.
