I'm looking for recommendations on hardware and software which is used for interactive (computer/human) telephone systems. I need to build a system of the type where a user calls a computer using a touch-tone telephone and the computer replies "Push 1 for _____", then "Enter your account number", then "Your account balance is ______". The user enters data using their telephone, the computer system looks up some data from a database and responds with a human-sounding voice. Any suggestions or pointers are welcome. Please respond by direct email rather than newsgroup postings. I'll summarize the results and post the summary later. THANKS !! Bruce Tucker betucker@eng.auburn.edu
