First, the case has to be a standard mid to large tower. It has to accept standard (or mini) AT size motherboards. Two keylocks (one for the case, and one for the keyboard) would be nice, but not necessary. Second the motherboard has to support the following: P54C upgradability if Pentium, P24T if 486. Be able to fit in a standard case. Setup and/or boot password protection. VL bus or PCI. IDE. At least five total slots (4 ISA, 2 Vl bus or PCI would be preferred) No oscillator needed, just set jumpers. Custom drive options (at least 2) in BIOS so I do not have to be concerned about matching drive XXX to type YY, etc. Embedded diagnostics (where it tests everything) is nice. No setup disk, the BIOS has the program built-in. Ability to lock out the floppy drives, etc. is preferred. -- Other items: A GOOD keyboard. I will be pounding this sucker day in and day out. A reliable monitor. (at LEAST 14", NI, SVGA). 500+ MB drive. 8 MB RAM (standard memory, no custom or wierd crud.) SCSI CD-ROM (HAS to be SCSI) a dual media floppy drive. a power supply of at least 200-250 watts. --- Thanks for your time in reading this.
