There are other "Stacker-like" programs available. At the moment, I can only remember "Double disk" and "SuperStor". I use Stacker 3.0 and I don't notice any significant slow down on my 386sx 80M hard drive. Accessing the stacker disk is reasonably fast (no I haven't run bench marks). But, be aware that Stacker also sells hardware that can do the Stacking for you if you find the software emulation too slow. While I haven't tried that route, I would expect a piece of hardware to be quite a bit faster than the software emulation. BTW, various rumors indicate that DOS 6.0 (should it ever come out) would have a disk doubling program within it. Perhaps others can expand on that rumor. Mark Runyan
