You responded to a previous post with the information that the prn file in
question printed perfectly on a HP printer.
When you save to file on a pc the default printer driver installed on that
pc directs the inscribed print file to disc instead of to the printer. You
yourself by using the DOS redirector command > have sent that inscribed file
to your HP printer producing useful output.
This suggests that the prn file has been inscribed by a driver that either
emulates Printer Control Language or was itself a HP driver.
