This is a problem shared by many networking systems based on the BSD
4.3 code. However forwarding will cease if the kernel variable
"ipforwarding" is set to 0. This was not a configurable variable in
the base 4.3 source, and is also not easily configurable in TCP/IP
1.1.3. However you can use _fst to zero the variable in
/etc/conf/pack/ip/Driver.o and after a rebuild forwarding should stop.
In order to conform to the network RFC that deals with compatibility
issues like this (I have forgotten the number), ipforwarding will be
configurable in future release of TCP/IP. Also to conform to that
spec, forwarding will be disabled by default.
Enjoy.
